Tournament Cancellation
On behalf of Mecklenburg Union Futbol Club, we want to thank you for committing your team to our 7th Annual Matthews Invitational Tournament.
Due to the weather forecast for snow showers tonight, we have had two venues close the fields for the weekend. Unfortunately with us being notified within the last hour of these closures and additional potential field closures, we have no choice but to cancel the tournament for this weekend. With the field availability in question we are unable to do even a partial tournament.
Our tournament rules state that we are not obligated to give refunds for cancellation of the tournament, however, we will refund a portion of the tournament entry fee back to each team. We will post the refund amounts by end of day February 16th.
In addition, T2C Sports has taken care of canceling, without penalty, all hotel rooms booked through them.
Thank you for your support of the tournament and we look forward to seeing you next year.
