  • What is the Super-20 League?
The Super-20 League is a national system designed for talented players in college, destined for college, and/or professional careers. The league is a perfect compliment to the MUFC new vision of providing quality training and high level competition for our club members.
  • When are tryout dates and times?
U20 Players interested in Super Y need to register through the pre-registration form. Tryouts will be held in late spring and all pre-registered players will be contacted with exact dates and times.
  •  Who will be coaching these teams?
Coaches are being considered for both positions at this time. A qualified coaching staff will be in place by March.
  • When does the Super-Y League season run?
The season consists of approximately 10-14 games. The majority of games are played in July and August.
  • What is the age cut-off?
All players born on or after 1/1/90 are eligible for the 2010 season.
  • Who do you play?
MUFC will be competing in the USL South Atlantic Division. Teams slated to participate in this Division in 2009 are: East Tennessee SF, FC Fredericksburg, Hampton Roads, Northern Virginia, NOVA FC, and Triangle FC.
  • Where will the teams practice and play matches?
Practices are slated for Col Beatty Park in Matthews. Home matches will be played at “Pride Park” located on the campus of Wingate University.
 
  • What are the costs?
Cost is $600.  This does not include uniforms.  Fees include referee and assignor fees, field rental, Super-20 administrator fees, USL league fees, and coaches and trainer fees.   All fees will be due prior to the start of league play.
 
  • Are travel costs included in the fees and what are the registration fees?
Travel fees are not included in the registration fees. However, we are currently seeking sponsors for this team to help defer all costs.
 
  • How many players will be selected for each Super-20 team?
Total roster size will be based solely on the number of quality players at tryouts. Game day rosters must be set at 18 players and will be determined on a week-to-week basis by the coaching staff.
  • Who can tryout?
Any player that is age eligible can tryout for the team regardless of club affiliation or whether they have attended college. As long as you are born on or after 1/1/1990 then you are eligible to tryout.
